Dance presents a unique challenge, not only does it have to suit aesthetics of designer, and ability for movement by the performer, it also has to address the line, form and shape that are desired by the choreographer. In many cases, the costume will be used for a long period of time and, in the case of classical ballet, even decades; because of this, longevity a major part of working with ballet costumes. Restoration, and repair have become a major part of my vocabulary. Please take a look at some of the pieces I've worked on.
